Job Description
Conduct research on women’s access to justice within Somalia’s plural legal system, covering formal, customary, and religious legal frameworks. The consultant will develop a comprehensive analysis, engage key stakeholders, and produce actionable policy recommendations for UN Women and the Federal Government.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Law, Gender Studies, Human Rights, or related field
- Proven experience in legal or gender justice research in Somalia or similar contexts
- In-depth knowledge of Somalia’s legal landscape, including customary and Sharia law
- Strong report writing and stakeholder engagement skills
- Fluency in Somali and English required
