Job Description
Lead public health intelligence functions for WHO Somalia, including disease surveillance, risk assessment, and outbreak detection. Work with national health authorities to strengthen early warning systems and ensure timely, evidence-based public health responses.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related medical field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in public health intelligence or epidemiological surveillance
- Proven ability to conduct rapid risk assessments in complex emergencies
- Experience working with national health systems in fragile states
- Fluency in English required; knowledge of Somali or Arabic an advantage
